Future of Leadership Event Terms and Conditions

PAYMENTS

All bookings made prior to Future of Leadership events must be paid in full to guarantee registration. Once payment has been received, an email confirmation and electronic tickets will be sent. If payment is not made at the time of booking and an invoice is requested, registration will not be confirmed until payment has been received.

SUBSTITUTIONS & CANCELLATIONS

Delegates may nominate an alternative person from their same organisation to attend at no extra charge. Should substitution not be possible, cancellation charges apply. All substitutions and cancellations must be received in writing.

ACCESS REQUIREMENTS

Delegates should advise of any special access requirements at the time of registration.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration information will be sent to registered delegates by email at least seven days prior to the event. Any delegate not receiving the registration information should contact us by email to team@handsgroup.org.au.

ALTERATIONS TO PROGRAM - Cancellation/Postponement of Event

  1. Hands Group reserves the right to make alterations to our event programs, venues and timings and will communicate any changes via email.

  2. In the unlikely event of a Future of Leadership event being cancelled by Hands Group, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate at the time of registration.

  3. In the event that a Future of Leadership event has to be postponed due to COVID-19, your registration will be transferred and the booking between the delegate and the organisers shall remain in force and will be subject to the Future of Leadership cancellation schedule.

  4. In the situation of it being found necessary i.e. COVID-19 restrictions, that the event is being postponed or the dates being changed, Hands Group shall not be liable for any expenditure (eg. travel and accommodation), damage or loss incurred by the delegate.

CANCELLATIONS/NO SHOWS (Conference and Symposiums)

Cancellations must be in writing and will incur a $50 administration fee. Cancellations within 21 days of the event incur a 50% fee. Refunds are not available within 7 days of the event.

SPEAKERS

Views expressed by Future of Leadership event speakers are their own. Hands Group cannot accept liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at a Future of Leadership event or in any material provided to delegates by our guest speakers.

If a speaker is unable to attend an event, a replacement speaker will be added to the programme at Hands Group discretion.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

For promotional purposes, there may be a professional photographer and video production taking place during Future of Leadership events. Delegates who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise the organisers by email to team@handsgroup.org.au prior to the event. By registering for any Future of Leadership event you authorise Hands Group to take photos at the event. I agree that Hands Group is the owner of the copyright and photographs and that it may use the photographs for any purpose it considers appropriate, including publicity, education or other activities.

INSURANCE

It is the responsibility of the delegate to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at Future of Leadership events. Hands Group cannot be held liable for any loss, liability or damage to personal property.

HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES

Please take time to familiarise yourself with the location of the nearest fire escape’ at the event. All participants must comply to the respective venue’s Health and Safety practices, which will be made available and communicated to at the start of each Future of Leadership event.

COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN

We want to assure you that we are taking the utmost care and precautions for our events and gatherings in light of COVID-19. Our team is working extremely closely with our venues, suppliers, contractors and everyone involved with our events to protect your health and wellbeing – you are our top priority. Of course, we will update you if any changes come up.

All participants including staff and volunteers should only attend the Future of Leadership events if they are feeling well and do not have any respiratory or COVID-19 symptoms.

Hands Group is working with all venues to put in place a COVID-19 safety plan as recommended by the Australian or New Zealand Government Department for Health, to help ensure the safety of our delegates, staff, and volunteers.

The response will include:

  • Hand sanitiser stations with supporting signage

  • Guideance on hand washing in bathrooms

  • Placement of bins for hygienic disposal

  • Regular cleaning of surfaces, including bathrooms, benches, ATM machines and all touch points such as

  • door handles, escalator rails, etc.

  • Continued adherence to food safety management standards

  • Strict adherence to all physical distancing measures as stipulated by the state in which Future of Leadership is held

All delegates, staff and volunteers will be required to check in to the venue and comply with the specific policies and procedures that the venue has put in place. Anyone who does not comply with the guidelines will be asked to leave the premises and will not receive a refund for their registration.
